Textile remains have been found among some of the earliest relics of mankind. Yarns such as wool has been used to keep man warm in some of the coldest regions in Europe while, in hotter climates, such as Egypt, linen has been discovered. Linen can not only keep man warm, but also keep him cool in the hot sun as well. Silk has been woven in China since around 1000 BC.
